I'm showing my knitting project page at Ravelry, although some members here have already seen it. They're in rough chronological order with the newest at the top. Just mailed the slip-stitch hat in the top picture, and my friend loves it. Clicking on any photo will produce the detail page and more photos.

Crocheters--if you're bored with the same old stitch, join www.ravelry.com, and go onto the crochet forums and learn new stitches. There are also tens of thousands of patterns, and about half are free. As an example, I do socks, and there are 35,000 knitted sock patterns on the site.

Couple of socks. The top one's made from scraps left over from other socks I've done. we call them Monstersocks.

Very cool!!! What's the rib on the sock legs in the bottom pic? It looks forgiving.

I just started back on some socks after about a five year hiatus! OTN now is a simple ribbed pair in some Regia and a pair of Monkeys in some deep stash Trekking XXL. This is my second pair of Monkeys and it's a really enjoyable pattern, esp. if you knit all the purl stitches. With all k's half the pattern is just knit rows and they go fast. Using a CO of 80st for size 10 feet. I'll post pics when they're done :D

I'll have to keep that CO in mind (next socks up are for dd - and she's a 9.5).

Yeah the pattern as written (64st) seemed a little tight on the leg so the extra pattern repeat to 80 made it way comfier w/ a little slouch. After the heel you just end up with a slightly longer gusset than usual in getting back to the 64st (or even 60st maybe if your DD has a slim foot).

dd went up from a 7.5 to 9.5 in a year? Crazy. I'm 5feet 6 inches and she's as tall as me already :)
(her foot is really wide, too!)

I use the same CO and heel on all my socks, just use the stitch pattern. Turkish CO, Fleegle Heel.

Finished this quilt top last night. I know exactly how I want it quilted, but I need to quilt my other two works in progress first (which are less fancy pieces and I need the practice >.< )

That's so cool! Quilting is one craft I haven't even dipped my toe into yet but I love the finished works.
