My name is Lynn, I set up a Turk account about 3 years ago and tried turking then but didn't understand what I was doing (if I had stayed with it $$$).

Fast forward to 2 months ago when a turker on another board that I help co-admin showed his stats and how he did it....I was sold!

I am ready to take turking seriously and bring in at least $1,000 a month; while aiming for this goal I know there are tricks to the trade and that's where this group comes in...helping me to get to my goal, even if it means $15-20 a day.

The surveys bore me to tears...but I have plenty of kleenex for that issue. I'm trying to not go below .15 on hit scraper, maybe that is a bit high above my goals, but I have managed to attain in a month's time 1100 hits.

Any advice?

well - it's all about developing turk skills .
Follow the forum, take every qual HIT you can, and practice.
If you can, learn how to script

Also, do lots more hits to get a cushion (and get over that magic-not-so-magic 5000 approval). (and welcome aboard!)

Welcome! I'd recommend removing the 0.15 limit on HIT Scraper. You're potentially missing qualification HITs that pay under 0.15 for the qualification, but then qualify for you for much higher paid work. You'd also be missing HITs that pay under 0.15 but take maybe just a few seconds each. Do lots of those and they really add up!

I'd also recommend joining in the Daily Work threads here to see what other people are working on and recommending.
