It's hard not to like
A Christmas Story. Darren McGavin, who was so funny, is reason enough to like that film. Probably my favorite Christmas movie is the George C. Scott version of
A Christmas Carol. He was an outstanding talent (so great in everything I've ever seen him in), and the cast of this version is pretty great all-around. Of course I love things like
A Charlie Brown Christmas and
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
Have you ever seen a film from the '90s called
Before Sunrise with Ethan Hawke? He and another character basically just talk about their perspectives on life, etc. for the whole movie. Your philosophical conversation comment made me think of it.
