It's weird. Sometimes when I try to run an old panda for him it turns purple for me. Even when I run it on a different day.

Don't know what purple means but, you have to wait until he refreshes/reposts the HIT. They may be available but, not for you. Then the next day, or however long, you can accept another. At least, that has been how it's been going for me.
