If people choose to be drunk while doing work, it's there choice. It's up to the requester every single time you do a hit to accept your work as honest. Being drunk has no bearing on whether or not you do work properly.

You cannot compare real life work to internet work, we're basically freelance workers and have no real-life contact with our "bosses". This means we can scream for 6 hours non-stop in our house, and still get work done. My analogy means we can do countless things "real life" jobs can't do. Like sitting in our chair naked, or any other scenario I can think of.
Yeah, you're right, it is their choice. "Being drunk has no bearing on whether or not you do work properly." Um, slightly tipsy, maybe not. But being full out drunk? No, you're not right. Most people who are drunk make all kinds of mistakes in various ways. It's precisely why it's illegal to drive - because you aren't capable of doing so safely. Some people can handle alcohol better than others, some can't, but everyone who drinks it to the point of being drunk is going to be experience at least some effects from it.

And yes, you can, actually. Work is work is work. Some people only make phone calls for a living, does that mean the person they're talking to is any less real?

Listen, I'm not bashing you. But where you say people are coming down on you way too harshly, you're running with it in the exact opposite direction. You want technicalities? I will argue them until I'm blue in the face, especially because a lot of what you just said isn't even accurate.

And finally, regardless of whatever Amazon ToS are, or what each requester would or wouldn't prefer or allow, the forum itself has standards. You can agree or disagree as much as you want, but if the people who own the forum don't want you saying you're doing work while drinking and/or drunk, that's something you have to respect.

I think that the best way to think of it is the way that electrolyte @electrolyte corrected me previously.

you can drink. you're an adult.
but this is a public forum, and requesters also come here.
it doesn't matter if it doesn't affect your work,
it may or may not.
stroop tests would be affected, no matter what you say. (the E and I type reaction things)
but to have requesters look at a forum and see people talking about doing hits while drunk..
it may make them decide to take their work elsewhere.

basically, try to appear professional.
it will do you good in the long run.
