I am sorry you have to go through that, but on the bright side it sounds like those people aren't the type of people who seem like the people you want to be around during a time of welcome and family and happiness.

Neither daughter will be home for christmas. My son cares little about it. My tree never gets to be lit because my son likes the lights off. No presents under the tree because he will open them all. No stocking because he will pull them down. Its kind of a bummer. It hardly feels like xmas yet its already the 21st
