Oh man! A breaker tripped (that my comp was using) and now it won't boot properly :'( Husband is reinstalling windows and I'm finishing up my queue on the lappy. Glad I was already at goal.

Did you try switching the power supply off first and then removing the plug for at least 30 seconds? Don't know how old your PC is but some PSUs have protection circuits that need to be reset before functioning again.
