No, I never have. I really wonder if there was some miscommunication there or a customer service rep was new and did the wrong thing, or something else happened like that. Since this has only ever happened to one person with very limited information, I'm suspicious (that is, I don't think this person is lying but I think it's an error/one time weird Amazon mistake and not an actual rule or a trend).

I did it yesterday and it was not 45 minutes. I want to say closer to 25?

The inquisit is only the last, small portion of it. It was worth the time for the pay, imho.

Yeah, it's interesting. I combed through TOS and only ever found something like, "We can do what we want, when we want, because we said so." which isn't an explanation but also isn't not one because MTurk.
