They're sketchier than a guy selling watches on the sidewalk. But we've learned to love them despite their flaws and curious ways of capitalizing letters.

Sketchy, probably. But no more sketchy than the hits that use us to tell advertisers the best way to sell useless crap to people who probably can't afford what they are selling anyway. Or to make a computer better at identifying things that are currently identified by living breathing paid workers.
