My mom tells her story now and laughs at herself wondering "what was I thinking? but we didn't know any better then!" Your grandma was hella smart!

But then, my mom also almost killing herself by thinking ammonia and bleach combined made a fantastic bathroom floor cleaner and proceeded to use it in that small room on her hands and knees. She's right, cleans the floor super well! And fortunately she was wise enough to catch on in time that the fumes were quite toxic.

I'm guessing you did it again? I know it's annoying to have to do it, but I definitely would use something like Hit Database to help prevent this. It's safer to just email the requester to be sure, than to spend time repeating a survey and getting a rejection. I hope it works out!

"uneducated" folk can be some of the smartest ones out there because they relied on their own wits and observations to learn vs. being spoon fed knowledge and taught how to acquire more knowledge by instructors. (I say this as someone who went through graduate school and was spoon fed!)
