Honestly, I've never tried microwaving rice so I might be completely incompetent at doing that.

it takes just as long to microwave rice as it takes to cook it on the stove top, and it comes out better on the stove, why bother microwaving it in the first place

I was gonna say, it's already one of the easiest things to cook and requires very little effort.

they have steamfresh bags of rice where all you have to do is put it in the microwave upside down for 5 minutes. Its so simple a reddit user could do it.

Well, there's Minute Rice, and then also Knorr's Rice Sides and both of those can be microwaved.

They are both terrible for you and don't taste great so I don't recommend them.

Also there are steamfresh bags and those actually taste pretty good considering it's microwaved.
