Some of the stores just have one-offs that disappear when you sell them. So you don't have to fulfill orders on a continuing basis for a specific thing, if you don't want to.

Yeah, and I don't rule it out, I just can't commit the time I think it would take to have a successful shop right now. Realistically, it's just not a profitable thing to invest my time in, i.e. If I had charged just $8 an hour for W @WalkingEmphasis Hobbes, he would have cost her over $100, easily. I've never been able to figure it out in my head how I could get a reasonable return for my work.

I imagine the idea is to just fit it in when you're doing other stuff that the crocheting doesn't take away from.

Smart man. Following the rules just in case the clocks have stopped and it gets too close to midnight. Sugar powered Gremlins have been known to wipe out Honeydukes in less than 15 minutes.

I had that problem when I did etsy. The supplies were expensive so I was barely able to profit if I adjusted the price to something "reasonable", plus people wanted to make special orders a week before giving it as a gift to someone, and didn't understand why it wasn't made and in the mail the next day
