I'm "here"...in the sense that this is the one week I hate the most out of every year for grief-stricken reasons and I'm trying to keep my brain busy since the narcoleptic sadness sleeps have worn off and now I can't sleep for the life of me. Not to sound all sappy but my kids changed my life.

I never wanted kids and I was terrified of becoming a father but my kids have probably saved my life.

I went from being a completely selfish asshole to seeing that there was something more important than me. Over the past 12 years I have totally changed how I look at the world and learned to act in the best interest of others.

I call my baby boy my little hero and I don't think anyone else quite understands how serious I am when I call him that.

That's awesome (and I agree, i have 2 little girls after having four others older, and thinking I was done, didn't really plan on more, but just circumstances...it has been a very good thing to have these little people to focus on or life would be very different. And my little cell phone thrower and I are good now )
