I saw some that seemed like it came from reddit. Another which I'm pretty sure came from comments toward this game reviewer who started forwarding the unpleasant comments she got to the commenter's mother. So a variety of places I think

I started copy/pasting ones that were really distinctive to see if I could find where they came from, but no luck.

To tell you the truth, as long as you're the type of guy who views/treats people with respect and speaks up when you hear people talking like this, you have nothing to be embarrassed about. From your shared disgust, I assume that is the case.

I was going to quit doing them, but I think I can survive 25. I'll push through

I'm doing the same, with a little help from my roommate. Reading them aloud as I go and having him reiterate how disgusting and sad they are while seeming to gain more understanding about what some of us peoples have to deal with is helping me stay the course.
