I usually have to think about it, too. I blame my mom. She's a writes as a lefty but does everything else with her right and has a terrible time with directions. I always have to pause and think about which hand I right with. If I'm giving her directions in the car, I have to say turn your way or turn my way.

I haven't thrown any back, but definitely wasted way too much time counting and freaking out that I wasn't doing it right. This is why I hate math so much. I'll do the same problem again and again until I feel like I'm losing my mind obsessing over it.
