If could go back in time and not have obtained a BS, I would have just taken some courses that interested me at the technical school instead.

I have a degree sitting in a box somewhere and a bunch of debt. Good times.

I got lucky mine was only 21k.
my brothers pysch degree is already at 80k or so.

I went to tech school to learn how to weld....but alot of jobs now require an actual degree not a cert.

5-6 years Also have about 9 years automotive experience building engines and what not one of my Hobbies is drag racing lol
