My only concern is that I am going to buy it and in 6 months it is going to phase out like the PSVita or the WiiU.

I really doubt that'll happen, though I see how you could think it would. Nintendo messed up big time with the Wii U, I don't see them making the same mistakes twice.

I really hope not! I am really eager to see the expanding they can do. I saw a few things on YouTube that talked about potentially leaked information about VR games being incorporated into the system!
I do wish the battery life was a little better though.

There are a lot of really cool possibilities for sure. And the battery life could be better, but I give it a pass because of the display and form factor.

Agreed. I have an external battery, and they make a car adapter, so it wouldn't be to bad. Heard the graphics are amazing! My best friend has one and she lives about 5 hours away so I wanna be able to play with her!
The WiiU was such a disappointment. The only thing I pretty much played on it was Mario and Zumba.
I never actually got to even see one. I never fully understood what the heck it was suppose to be!

That's exactly why the Wii U failed.
True! That is one of the many reasons I think the PSVita failed too. They tried to portray it as you were able to take your games on the go like the Switch is able to do. But, after getting it and the games being lackluster it kinda died. I remember trying to play Call Of Duty on it. The maps were TINY, you could barely see, and the level structure was seriously lacking.

I never tried PSVita, but I heard from others that it wasn't that great. Believe it or not I still have my gameboy from the 90's lol. I still play zelda and tetris 2 on it.

Yeah the Vita was good for a couple things, but that remote play feature was severely lacking. I gave up on that thing with the quickness. And so did game developers, apparently.

Gameboy was amazing. My grandmother still has hers! I should ask her where it is. It actually was a Gameboy "color". She had to be all fancy.
I HATED minecraft when it first released. Then I became addicted.
The Vita was a shame. It could of had REAL potential if they just stuck with it. I guess that is what happens when you portray something in a way that isnt realistic with what you provide.

Mine is the ol grey scale gameboy lol. It still works but it does have a black line going through the bottom right corner of it. I don't mind since I can still play it. My daughter keeps trying to talk me into minecraft, but I haven't really tried it out yet. She is out for spring break this week and she has pretty much spent almost every single day playing minecraft. The console I miss the most is Sega Genesis. I had so much fun playing that when I was a teenager.

I still have a Sega! That is what orginally got my hooked on Bomberman.
Minecraft is pretty great if you can find people to play with. I tend to have more fun that way.
I got a platinum trophy on my PS4 for it. I spent weeks playing that game though.
Are you looking to get a Switch?
