what i have always assumed is, Amazon put the delay in there to cut back on people scamming and transferring the money before they were caught.

ok, lies lol actually now that you say this, i totally agree, that's like eating dessert first, watching those episodes. I remembered telling someone else to do this, I was thinking of that I guess, but it was a totally different situation. He was a total trecky, sci-fi geek, but had never watched Dr Who, and didn't seem to have any plans too! I just had to think of anything that might get him hooked, it was an emergency, or what a waste!

LOL No worries, I have seen TONS of Who fans recommend Vincent and the Doctor as a standalone watch. I only disagree because of how much the preceding events add to to Amy's interactions in that episode, which makes it that much more powerful for me. (Trying to state that without spoilers was hella difficult.) That is actually one of my top five favorite episodes though, as I grew up obsessed with Van Gogh's work from an early age. When I got older and learned of his life story, I loved him even more, so that episode hits me hard.

That is actually one of my top five favorite episodes though, as I grew up obsessed with Van Gogh's work from an early age. When I got older and learned of his life story, I loved him even more, so that episode hits me hard.

Me too! all of that. I think it is my favorite. I could watch it 10 times a day and still bawl every time. It's funny, when I was first watching and catching up from the beginning, my daughter (then in college) messaged me that she had just finished watching one 'about a painter' and it made her cry. I was picturing some guy that painted houses. I kept wondering when I'd get to that one. lol I don't think it dawned on me for quite a while after where I went wrong. (and my name is Amy so it's like he's talking just to me. ...kidding...it just sounded so corny i had to say it. well it is my name, but the rest.)
