I was never a big fan of the whole "emo" thing. But I had this friend of a friend named Adam Lazzara when I was growing up. Imagine my surprise when I saw him on MTV with a band called Taking Back Sunday.

One of my kinda friends in school (we were in all the same honors classes but didn't hang out kinda friends) use to wear a different stone cold steve austin shirt to school every day. He must of at least had 31 if not more. Always seemed kinda odd. Now he kicks ass in the UFC. I was totally surprised. http://www.joelauzon.com/

Similar story. There was this band at my HS that used to practice in the garage of a neighbor two houses down. They performed at the talent shows and a local venue quite frequently and I thought they sounded like hot garbage. One day I turned on MTV and saw my neighbor on tv. The band used to be called Chiodos Bros, but I think they changed to Chiodos then other things after that.
