how much do you guys pay for food each week? not including alcohol

edit: not including toilet paper and shampoo and other non-food things either
$60 for two people if I'm trying to be frugal. Closer to $90 if I've been watching too many cooking videos...

I spend about $100 a week for a family of 5. Including my kid's lunches.
Wow -- that is really good. I remember spending about that much for a family of 3 (when son was a teenager and eating a whole lot). Now it's just me and my husband and I've got it down to $60 per week.

If i go shopping maybe $50 for two people? (that includes an averaged cost of things like tp and stuff)

if my fiancee goes shopping its $80 for the first 3 days, then i have to go out and spend $20 for the rest of the week

I used to spend around $30 a week on alcohol (for home) but now I've cut it down to $10/week

edit: less if i can pilfer whatever things my friend grows in his massive garden
I'm sensing some tension here YAHU @YAHU . Normally your posts involve a quick smiley or pic of your rejection list being at 0.

Remember you can always open up to us. your fiance will never find out.

No alcohol, but around $150 (for 4 - including all toiletries, household goods, etc) plus $50 for take out (one night/wk).

As I've gotten older, I've become more label conscious and don't mind shelling out for more high quality and/or local food.

I do a lot of bulk buying at Costco and Sams Club. I buy a big box of frozen chicken breasts about once a month and use those in 2 meals a week. I buy a large thing of ground beef then freeze in 1 lb patties.
I always make a weekly menu and stick to it.

Sometimes when you buy the store/bargin brand its not nearly as good

Previously:
$75-125/week. It depends on coupons/sales/what's on hand.
There are four of us, two are teenage boys, and then a pre-teen girl going through a growth spurt o.0

Right now- I'm not sure. I'm staying with family, and we all just kinda fill in the gaps. I've been couponing/playing the matchymatchy sales game. But it's harder to do when it's not YOUR kitchen. LOL -

My little one is allergic to some things, my mother has a pretty severe wheat/gluten allergy, so we have quite a few specialty products to account for.

But on my own, with just my brood.... $75-$125 a week.

I spend more than that on tomatoes
I'm gonna be like u when I grow up my dear turker. but my GF needs to be taken out to dive bars twice a week to drink 50.00 worth of bud light and flirt with uninterested guys in front of me.

so obviously I need to cut back on less important things like food.

YES you are good with money
70 for 2 people, but that does include dog/cat and any cleaning supplies. IDK without. Every once in awhile, I splurge and spend more, but I'm pretty careful. The last few months have been hard - since we're in rented apartment/condo's. But when we have a home (soon! I hope) I'll get back to baking bread and snacks.
