It is just an educated guess based on reading a lot of things written by someone who learned English as a second language.
It could be anywhere, but I have a strong reason to believe that this was someone who learned British English...which many people from India have. It was not meant to be derogatory.

But most of the content you come across online is likely from native English speakers. Mturk has a significant (20% it looked like) Indian user base. So if those tasks aren't US restricted then it's not a bad guess.

God, I felt like I was sent to the principals office. I agree with what you're saying, most Americans (or native English speakers) make terrible spelling errors. But in this case, it was more of a different way of phrasing things than we use...kind of like Hispanics sometimes say things backwards, because in Spanish, that's how you're taught to speak and write. IDK, just things I pick up on.
