W @WalkingEmphasis In all seriousness though, I recommend the DuoLingo app for learning languages. That little owl bastard is an annoying reminder though. I'm not sure if they have Latin there, but I've been refreshing my one year of Italian using it! And Sporcle is a great website with trivia quizzes for everything, including languages. It's hella fun.

Honestly before this battery issue, I had no issues at all with my phone. I love it.

I feel like it is just a natural thing for batteries to wear out after 3 years.

I would agree. As a photographer I go through so many rechargeable batteries of all sorts. I can tell you with a certainty they start degrading with the very first recharge. Build quality will dictate heavily how many cyclings the batteries will last and the rate at which they will fail.

As a side note, I do pretty much all of the repairs for my family and some friends. I just replaced the screen, power button, and home button on my GF iphone5. The new screen was only $25, I got it from a reputable parts dealer not ebay... the two buttons were a few dollars each. Took about 1.5 hours to tear the iphone down and replace each part. I imagine a battery replaced wouldn't take long and isn't honestly that hard. The screen came with the special tools necessary to do it like 2 security drivers and a spudger but I already had those. The local repair store she was going to take it to quoted her a price of over $250 total for all three tasks.
