I really think that he was worse to Cody. Cody was the child from his previous wife. So I have a feeling he was harder and worse to that child because his new wife didn't like that he had a child living with them as a constant reminder of his previous situation. Not saying that they other kids are in a good place by any means, but I understand why they took Cody out first.

He picked on Cody b/c the baby has mental health issues.

Oh, I most certainly agree that he and Heather were hardest on Cody and Emma. With Cody, his diagnosed issues made him an easy target for abuse, being more likely to react to such a disgusting situation in a way that "made for more views". With both of the children, I do not deny even a little that Heather had jealousy/resentment issues about Rose that caused her to act that way to Rose's children.

I know this because I was Cody, my brother was Emma, and my wicked bitch of a stepmother is Heather, to this day. I am so grateful that Cody and Emma were removed before Heather escalated to the level that my stepmother did, but I still worry so much for Heather's children as well.
