My dachshund received a distemper shot today and now her face is completely swollen. Keep trying to call the vet and get a busy signal. Anyone have experience with this? I know some swelling is normal, but her face is like 3x her normal size.

I don't know but is there another vet's office you can just call and ask until you hear back?

It's likely an allergic reaction. Definitely keep trying your vet. It shouldn't be life threatening, but monitor her breathing and so on. They may have you bring her back in for an antihistamine.

My dog a few years ago had the same type of reaction to a shot. We ended up going back to the vet and did the antihistamines. He was totally fine after that.

Finally got through, but they immediately placed me on hold. She seems to be fine other than the massive swelling.

I made tacos for dinner. They were acceptable but I am an idiot and forgot to get lettuce and tomatoes. I forgot to drain the meat so it was a little greasy AND I decided to put everything away before I ate so they were cold. I made cookies and they were super fluffy.

Overall: 8/10 would make again.

I made this thing for dinner that had quinoa and enchilada sauce and black beans and peppers. Very healthy and wholesome. To make up for it I paired it with half a pan of jalapeno corn bread.

Very, very tasty! My quinoa dishes usually come out a little dry, but not this one. The one change I made was to use chicken stock instead of water for the quinoa, because there's nothing I like more than adding animal products to vegetarian dishes.

I would not try to cook that because I eff up TV dinners and taco kits but it does look really good :O

Nope. Apparently most of the main mass produced brands seem to use wheat as a binder.
