Wait, so a company gives you free stock? What's the catch? Are you able to just cash it out as soon as you get it?

Pretty much. There's like a 3 day settlement process, like with all stock transactions, and you have to deposit at least $1 signing up, but you can withdraw that.

I stand corrected. Well, I threw in some money, because I closed my other investment account when I moved, and figured I'd see if I still had instincts for it or if I really just needed to be paying someone to manage money for me.
