I just shut down both Tamper Monkey and MTurk Suite to see if that helped, but it didn't.

hooked up my earbuds to use as a mic. levels move like it's recording. hooked up pc speakers to see what recording sounds like. speaker levels move like they're working. but sound so quiet I have to hold the speaker next to my ear to hear. and that's something playing in a browser. I can't hear if the earbuds mic is really working.
