I don't think I could do a mechanical keyboard. The clacky sounds when I'm typing is awful enough already.

I have long fingernails (not by choice, they just grow faster than I can cut the down). So I click no matter what. I have actually worn holes through several keyboards due to my fingernails. I also type really, really fast. I have had some office mates actually get mad about the rapid clicking.

The mechanical keyboard click is way more satisfying than the click of my keratin hooves.

I've actually worn a grove into my space bar with my thumbnail. I never realized that could actually happen. I need to get a new keyboard cause the letters have all worn out on this one but I like the shape.

Edit: If I'm not wearing my headphones when I'm typing i get on my own nerves, I'm sure i get on fiance's too.
