Is this a brand? Or are they really red?

Both. I like Red Hots. The skin is snappier than a regular hot dog- more like a true sausage, in the historical sense of the world. I'm told by my Rochester-native fiance there are also such things as White Hots, but I've never seen 'em.

And right? That's where my brain went with it. I imagined being in a huge living room with puppies corner to corner, just stacked all over the place, sleeping all cute with their big ol' bellies hanging out, and me in the middle, happier than I've ever been in all of my life.
