Would it not be smarter/safer to just change the thing instead of deleting it? I don't think it takes too much more time to switch rather than delete and then nothing is missed out and you don't chance a rejection?

Or just don't tell others to do it.

today was literally the first time i heard a different suggestion other than deleting the problem portion of the URL, and i have seen others here suggest the same thing (which is how i knew to do it).
