Does it just do the pop up notification on your laptop (i.e. like turning on notifications for a website)?

Yes

Play sound will play a noise or speak to you depending on what you have the global setting on.

Notification will show a desktop notification just like a website.

Pushbullet sends a push which you can get on your phone with the app or on another comp with the extension.

If you have an include list of requesters/hits you can set it to show normal desktop notifications without pushbullet. What I did was make a list of my go-to requesters and add them to my include list so they set off pushbullet notifications to my phone that has it installed. Really helpful for when you don't want to feel tethered to your pc all day in fear of missing some good stuff.

This is for MTS HF by the way, it might be a bit different on the standalone HF, not sure.

Its the same way with the userscript, but don't use the userscript cause its shit.

For people who actually care about making money:

If you're not doing something time sensitive while you're at home, but don't "plan on working," at least run a scraper once on "most available" when you first get up to see what batches are available, and have a hit monitor or finder running to notify you if something you usually/want to work on posts.

found a new thing to do to save money!! going to lower my utility bills. having a hard time figuring out best way to save on utilities as far as the computer and monitors go though.

What uses the most? I would guess air conditioning, if you have it, then things like a washer/dryer, dishwasher, and hair dryer. You can get a gadget for your shower to save water, and a brick in the toilet tank to displace some of the water. What else? Also, to save $, we ended all entertainment costs that were automatic deductions from the bank account. And shut off the computer at night, and unplug stuff when it's not in use. I don't need the microwave to tell me what time it is.

rn I'm taking down curtains. I have blinds. I can use daylight to not run lights during the day. it looks like turning off computer and monitors and using ipad instead would save a lot but I'm having a hard time figuring out the math. not sure if an ipad instead of computer for a few hours a day is really worth it.
