I think the consensus is it's fine occasionally, but if someone (in general, not directing this to anyone in particular) is posting their PE numerous times a day, it gets excessive. If someone feels they want to share their PE frequently, the PE thread is a great place to do that.

Btw, the post with the link to the PE thread was not directed at anyone. It was posted as a joke by a non-staff member that had just found it, and there hadn't even been any PE posts around that time.

As far as I'm aware of, at no point in the last several weeks (or months?) have we said anything about not letting people post their earnings in the work threads. So, I'm not sure where this sudden confusion comes from.

That PE thread was created for people that either like to post their earnings a lot, or for people that like to ask others about their earnings a lot. All we ask is that people just be mindful of what they're posting through the day and use whatever threads they feel are necessary.
