Anyone else's dogs like to catch and eat flies or are mine just huge weirdos?

My cat just kills them and then swats them around for a few minutes. Then I get to sweep them up.

Nope, mine hates flies and any sort of flying thing with a passion. If I don't get a fly out of the house he'll just obsess about it the whole day. The most impressive thing is he's a really short dog and he manages to catch them and eat them anyway. Shows what you can achieve if you believe in yourself.

I'm so glad it's not just mine. I mean, they're both huge weirdos in general, but I wasn't sure if all dogs do the fly thing. They'll literally be passed out sleeping by my feet and them out of nowhere leap up and snatch a fly out of the air, they must have some kind of radar. Almost gives me a heart attack when they do that lol. :tearsofjoy: And when they're awake they'll stalk them around the house... :unamused:
Mine are biggish. 50lbs and 65-70lbs, and like 22-25" at the shoulder. Oh well, less flies to swat with the fly swatter. Haha

My girl dog just likes to catch them and play with them and kill them, the boy one likes to actually eat them. They're a good team. He comes behind and eats the ones she leaves behind. Lol
