you guys that worked at walmart, why do they only give you 3.5 chances to call in 6 months. and then terminate you. Is this just a scare tactic or do they really terminate you. I mean that is not a lot of time. Kind of ridiculous. I mean things happen, people get sick.

They'll terminate you. If you need to miss 3 or more days in a row you should file a LOA.

Yeah, bummer. I mean they're not the greatest hits, but they're something more than 3 cents.

I dunno, if you're only working say four days a week, that's 100 days of work in six months, so calling in sick 3.5 days is a not insignificant percentage of the time.

I think it's an excuse for them if them employee is lacking. If someone isn't doing their shit and then calls in a few times they have their automatic grounds to can someone. They have a hard time keeping employees so if you're good and get sick I'm sure they'll over look it.

I personally didn't stick around long enough to find out because I thought I was way underpaid for the job. I didn't think I should be in charge of doing WIC checks, add matching and keeping a balanced drawer and be paid the same amount as the door greeter.
