That was what I thought until I read further. There are some things that I've purchased that I was once charged sales tax for and am not now. If there is not a brick and morter presence in your state apparently the rule is being set aside. That is how I understand the article. Where for a brief period businesses were having to collect taxes for all the states.

Then it talks about the 20-yr-old case that *started* all the online sales tax stuff, and how several states are playing with the definitions in ever-looser ways to tax more purchases,

Whatever's going on with your purchases must be coincidental.

Oh, and it doesn't even end internet access taxes till 2020.

I thought it had always been that way. Unless they have a B&M in state, no tax. Like, I have to pay tax at Amazon now which breaks my heart.

if you do a9 or other amazon based hits it probably makes up for the tax you get charged on amazon
