I wanted to quit for a long while but didn't because I didn't want to lose access to contacts if I needed them. Fortunately they have a "deactivate" option where I was able to essentially shut down my account and delete that cursed app off my phone but if I ever go want to go back to retrieve contacts, photos, etc., it can be reactivated. It's a pretty freeing feeling. I also thought my mom would flip out because she loves FB but she didn't even notice. The only person who noticed (including my husband) was my best friend because she tried to tag me in something and thought "did that bitch block me?"
I've deactivated for a few weeks here and there but I always go back. Too many of my friends are dependent on it as a means of contact. I've tried to convert them to messenger only platforms like Whatsapp but that doesn't go over well.

I'm participating in a year long academic research thing IRL starting today. There's a PhD student in forensic entymology who is going to come put traps in my yard to catch bugs and research how long dead flesh has to be out to attract certain types of bugs and how bugs develop over time and in varying weather conditions on dead flesh. I'm excited!
oooh, it's like the body farm without the farm! so cool!

I'll ask, but I would imagine so? I'm not sure if the traps are transparent or not to see stuff inside.
I did one in a college biodiversity lab where we dug shallow holes and dropped in cups filled with rubbing alcohol and then covered it with leaves. We essentially drowned them :( But it was really really interesting to see which kinds of creepy crawlies showed up in the different settings.

'liberry' and 'pokka dot' gets to me...
Oh man - my pet peeve! Drawl instead of draw. Drives me crazy. And people saying 'wheelbarrel'. And when I was a kid my grandma always used to say "warsh" instead of wash, and I always wondered why no one said anything to her about it.

ed: and my dad saying "Dowel" instead of Doll :shifty:

Most of these Buckner instagram hits don't seem to have an actual Instagram page but just a location one. Or I might be blind.

I can understand why people would be frustrated. You invest a lot of time and still don't have the right answer. But people need to realize that these hits aren't for everyone. Some people are better at other hits than other people. I personally suck at writing hits.
I agree. I totally understand the frustration and would be pretty upset if I didn't pass. But, the work is not bad once you learn to spot the ones that will be worth doing. Not paying for the test is hard to defend, but otherwise I think the guy gets too much heat.

He has people emailing him everyday asking for a chance to take the test. Why should he pay for it?
