I just submitted and sent an email before checking in on this thread. I think I'd just prefer the base reward in this case. The reposted HITs will probably disappear immediately if they're going to be put up at some undisclosed time and everyone is watching for them.

I agree. He's definitely trying to make it right. He just responded to me that he is working on it, and intends to pay people who initially accepted it.
