What are your tips on saving money? What 'one neat trick that makes X hate you' do you actually use?

I have a capital one 360 savings account, and when I cash out each day, 20% goes into that.
the account is free, and earns a little interest, too
The only way to get that money out is by transfer (and you can only do up to 6 transfers per month) and that takes like 3-5 business days to complete.
The fact that it's difficult to get out makes it easier for me to think about whether I should buy something or not
