I remember I saw you complaining about people getting exact change it affecting your scans per minute.

After you hit Total, your scans per minute rate stops, so everything after that doesn't affect it. This is why some cashiers hit Total in the middle so they can look up a PLU or do something else that will take a little bit

really? I thought only if the lights turn red, it stops the count. When I hit total the light is still green. When people pay by cash or credit the lights are green, but when I hit the check button the lights go red.

I'll have to hit total when looking up the plu's does that is time consuming so is looking up dept when you can't scan and the upc number doesn't work. I do actually have 4 plu's memorized.

Much of it depends on how much time you spend on designing. Some took it in 40 minutes, some, a bit longer. I think I spent close to an hour on it in total.
