Good morning, you hyper-skunky strains of hydroponic pot.

I have to go do the monthly grocery run, so I'll add up the weeklies when I return anun.

Just hit the first video that truly disturbed me so I think it's time for a break. I've seen a lot of messed up stuff on the internet but watching people cut the throat of a defenseless animal to a cheering crowd is not something I want to deal with.

Why the hell would anyone want to watch or make an unboxing video? I just don't get the appeal.
I don't know why people watch them. I get why people make them. It's the same reason people take pictures of their food or update their Facebook status 20 times a day.

I watch them sometimes. Its a pretty good method for impulse control. Some people might want the thrill of lets say, opening a pack of original pokemon cards but dont want to pay $55 for the experience. By watching someone elses video, you get the experience (kind of) without wasting your money. I hope that kind of explains it. It is a great way to mediate that urge by watching someone else do it.

*thinks unboxing videos are useful to see products you want more info on*
This. Especially useful if it's a subscription box. More often than not, the website doesn't show you the full contents. Helps me decide if I want to buy it or not.

To figure out if they want to buy the item or not? They're helpful to know how big or small an item is.

OK, fair enough. I never saw one before today, and it was just some guy opening up an iPhone 6s. Meticulously cutting open and removing the cellophane. Slowly peeling off the phone's protective cover. Showing the earbuds and cord.

Just ... weird.
