The batches tend to come and go. Only certain things post on a regular basis. If the standard requesters (PFA, Geohive, Pinterest etc) haven't been showing up then maybe there is an issue. Personally I use Hit Monitor for watching batch requesters.

The projects requesters work on almost always have an end date. You can't depend on any of them to consistently post for long periods of time with few exceptions. You'll need to start manually monitoring the newest hits posted for new work.
