*shrug* if that's what you want...
I just realised these are your hits, um, please don't go to .03? lol I just tried a few, and thought they were great, but used
a sort of generic ahk script to be able to enter the answers with the numberpad that sped it up for me. I wondered if you have any issue with this,
and would mind if I post it here? Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback. To be honest I'm not sure I understand why they are underpaid since it's an exceptionally simple task, and so far the average time to complete is 15 seconds each (or, $12/hour).
For quality work, as some of the sentences/sentiments take a bit longer to read and comprehend ... I think the $$ per/hr may be a bit off.

My avg for the 4 HITs was $7.58/hr (and I'm not a slow reader).

I definitely want to thank you for coming to the forum to post, C @Cliff DesPeaux :) It's always nice when we can have a working relationship with a Requester. The vast majority of active posters here take pride in providing quality work and in turn are a little more judicious with the HITs they are willing to spend the time working on in relation to the compensation provided.

Overall, it seems like a great HIT, but quality does require a few more pennies sometimes ... think of it as buying a dish set at the Dollar Store versus going to Bed, Beyond, & Beyond. I would just hate to see you get scammed.

15 seconds is my average time and I have 99% confidence in every hit. It's a pretty simple task.
I averaged $7.50/hour. I'm not saying it can't be done, but if the average is 15 seconds, that means someone is going faster and I would definitely question that. YMMV though for sure.

i agree, i don't feel i could accurately read and rate 5 sentences in 15 seconds, and then they aren't worth 5 cents. tbh i don't work on 5c HITs that have more than 2 clicks, thanks OCMP5.
It probably depends on the person, these are my fav. type of hit, but also I'm very sure you make a much better hourly in general than i do.
Actually I really am not sure what my point is

Regarding the Mechanical Turk Media HITS. I agree that they are simple and straight-forward. You get some that are only a few words and are quick to answer. Overall, though, I don't see how $12/hr is the "average" unless people are basically skimming/answering without thinking. Thanks for posting, I enjoyed the HITs and would like forward to doing them in the future.

Mechanical Turk Media 51 $2.55 $8.56
