I have vivid memories of doing this at a "Harvest Festival" type party in the basement of the baptist church in the town I grew up in. Maybe bobbing for apples was too secular, or maybe it was just tough to get a group of nine years old excited about anything that isn't covered in sugar.

Either way, I could go for a donut. Did you save any for me?
