I'm planning to stare at the eclipse without any sort of eye protection for minutes on end so I'll go blind and I won't be able to see mturk anymore.

The news here had a guy who did that and he's not exactly blind (so he said) he just has a perme...I can't remember how to spell that right now but it's always there, spot on his eye like he just got a flashlight shined in his eye.
