Except the game was going to raise millions for recovery, plus employ thousands. And NOT being in Houston is probably a good thing.

just got an update from a friend that they will donate the revenue they would've have received had the game not been cancelled. They wouldn't have made millions from this game at $25 per ticket. Pre-season games at the Death Star never sell out. This game would not have come close even with the original intended donations. JJ Watt just upped his goal to $10 million and I'm sure he'll get it. His drive will do more for S Texas than any one preseason game would have done. Family is much more important. Let them get home to their families.

EDIT: not clear on the donations now. DFW press will publish more info soon enough. A couple already said more details will be provided this afternoon so I'll start looking after my conference call here in a few minutes.
