... and from what I've read about the language, it is very "poetical."oh there's plenty of spot to learn. just need to find the time or actually make the time.
It's a beautiful language and the instructors will tell you it's nearly a perfect language. The feeling is it's the language closest to God I think. But I think it's difficult though I did go thru ARabic one and two with a 4.0. But it's difficult. The classes I've taken had several Muslim students in it, students who attended Madressa and still needed more Arabic instruction.... and from what I've read about the language, it is very "poetical."
Yes, never thought of that. So maybe Welsh would be better. One word in Arabic? Did you ever look at an Arabic sentence? One word with many little thingies stuck in there to make it mean a sentence. And the first thing you learn is Zaid Hit Amar.
VERY interesting. At least they spell it out and it isn't all completed with dots and dashes that then disappear after one forms acquaintance with the language.Yes, never thought of that. So maybe Welsh would be better.

My kid learned Spanish at the Presidio but not without some problem. Not the language. He got that down. It was getting to California. He thought that was where he was supposed to go but his first orders came down to go to San Antonio/Lackland. Apparently that's the English language school. But orders are orders and he had to follow them. So he got to San Antonio and went to sign in. He said he was surrounded by Middle Easterners there to learn English. He got up to the sign in person and the guy looked him over and said, "You speak English don't you?" My kid said, "Yes, sir. I do." And the guy looks at him again and says, "Is that your first language." And my kid says, "Sir, that's my only language." Ooops. He got a week's vacation out of that one while they straightened out his orders.VERY interesting.
