It's 59 here. But it warms up rapidly throughout the day. I need my pumpkin season.

I'm in central FL, the northeast (worst) portion of where it's supposed to make landfall. So we're just getting the very outer bands right now. We should start to get tropical storm force winds around noon and those should last for about 30 hours. The hurricane force winds are supposed to last 6-8 hours and we're getting the worst of it overnight. So we shall see! My sister is in southeast Florida and it's already getting nasty there. This storm is a beast.lol I got Harvey a few days after mine here. Do you still have power?
going to be sunny and in the low to mid 70s today. Beautiful early fall day.Better than before, but still not good enough.

People aren't happy with the Red Cross. My Walmart raised a lot of money from customers for donating to the Red Cross for flood relief from Hurricane Harvey. So Walmart through us an Associate appreciation day with burgers, brats, cupcakes, soda, etc. That was really cool and a nice surprise to have a free dinner on Friday.

It is. The hurricane force winds now extend 80 miles from the center, which is half the width of Florida. The entire storm is 500 miles wide. The northeast portion of the storm is the worst, which is what will most likely be going over us. There's a chance we will be seeing the eye wall for a good portion of the hurricane force winds (6-8 hours). It's definitely not as bad as it will be for southwest Florida and the Keys, but we are still looking at 80-100 mph winds.I thought it was going to hit the West coast. In any case, stay safe

Yep, I've been talking about that a lot. You can't really compare them because they were just two different kinds of evil beasts. Devastating in both cases, nonetheless. Mother Nature has definitely been wild lately. And we're just now hitting the peak of the season!geezus, i'll be thinking about you and all the Floridians here
i guess that's what separates Irma from Harvey. Houston didn't really get winds that powerful for that long. It was just an onslaught of rain for days. Mother Nature has been crazy this year
just got through another tornado warning and rain band - holding breath with each one as they keep getting stronger..im on my way
