I had the same problem trying to get through my home day job plus side turking at my desk until I divided my music into 3 different song playlists: light, med, and heavy. Most of the time I listen to medium which is everyday rock and pop from any era. When I get distracted or really need to concentrate I switch to light which is instrumental, classical and soundtracks. When I am sleepy or need to speed through a batch I go for the heavy which is hard rock, techno and silly dance songs I can sing along with. It really helps me concentrate when I need too and I get to listen to tunes! Plus I waste less time trying to find 'the right song' for the task at hand.
