I buy that nasty bug spray stuff. Ain't no wasps takin up residence in my porch.

Come spray mine, please? I'm too scared.. I've been terrified of wasps ever since one got caught in my hair and stung me in the corner of my eye when I was 5. My grandpa burned down the swingset after discovering the nest in it. It was awesome! (Except for the getting stung part..)

You can sort of turn it off, really. I have a large portion of my upper torso tattoo'd at this point... slowly working toward a full shirt... so I've got them in all kinds of choice spots. As with any extended pain, if you treat it like "no big deal" your body will adjust and say "oh ok then... well I'll stop sending you memos from that area" the same way it does with all the normal feels your brain doesn't even notice throughout the day, like your shirt. If you aren't into really getting in there and living in the pain then take a book with you, something that you can really get lost in...

I was thinking dissociation might help with it. I plan to take my ipod as well, since I can lose myself in tunes.
