Ah, so my apartment complex is banning window air conditioners. We can only have portable indoor ones now. If anyone knows of a good brand/model lemme know. This is gonna cost a fortune to buy 3 of em though.

That sucks - did someone drop one out of a window and that caused the ban? I have no experience with the portable units, I know they are much less expensive than when I was looking at them 7 years ago. Good luck though.

I have no clue why they're banning them. I think it has to do with the look of the apartment or something like that. Summers in Vancouver have actually been hot the last couple of years though so I'm gonna have to buy 3 of them or move. What I wouldn't do for central AC again.
