i taught myself to knit, sucked at it. (made some leg warmers though!)
taught myself to crochet, suck at that too.. but crochet is easier! i just have bad form i think. im super slow.

The gf has been crocheting for a little over a year now. She has a fidgety problems and needs to do something with her hands...soooo she crochets while we watch tv and stuff and she can crank out a full beanie hat in the time it takes to watch an episode of Game of Thrones lol

thats awesome! shes so quick im jealous. ive been working on a blanket for my kid.. for like years...
crocheting is a great way to keep hands busy, i agree. i do it so i dont mindlessly snack.

also i love those candle names so i gotta buy one can i request a doctor who themed one?! it could smell like.. space? or gallifrey? haha.

Can't get my Panda Crazy to work... even tried to go old school and just use TurkMaster, that didn't work either. WTF happened? How am I supposed to work without pandas?!?!

I envy people that can do both. You'd think it would be easy to do both but its not. They are two different things lol

It really is. I learned to knit first and it took me a long time to teach myself more than just the basic single crochet. Once I "got" it, I really got it. Knowing how to knit confused me more than anything when it came to learning.
